Artists deserve care that meets them where they are. In their studios. In rehearsals. In their creative homes. Many performing artists do not have access to specialized preventive healthcare. Your support changes that.
The AAHC Community Wellness Fund brings free, on-site injury screenings directly into the spaces where artists train, rehearse and create.
Every event is staffed by clinicians who specialize in performing arts medicine. They understand the physical and creative demands artists face and provide care that is specific and immediately useful.
Your generosity removes barriers and gives artists the early support they need to stay healthy, strong, and creating at their best.
The Artistic Athlete Health Collective brings 15-minute, artist-specific injury screenings to studios, rehearsal spaces, community programs, and performance companies throughout Greater Boston.
Through partnerships with the Arts Action Consortium, local studios, and Boston-based dance and theater organizations, preventive care becomes accessible, familiar, and fully integrated into environments artists already trust.
Your donation helps us:
Compensate performing arts clinicians
Cover materials, equipment, and administrative support
Expand screenings to more organizations
Provide early detection, education, and follow-up pathways
Your support strengthens the health and longevity of Boston’s creative community.

The Problem
Many performing artists do not have access to preventive healthcare.
Injuries often go untreated until they worsen. Most could be prevented with early intervention.
Without accessible support, artists are at risk of pain, burnout, and shortened careers.

The Impact
On-site screenings provide immediate, meaningful care.
Artists receive early detection, personalized exercises, injury-risk identification, education, and red-flag awareness.
These services help artists stay healthy, confident, and creating sustainably.

The Need
Community partners want these screenings, but funding is limited.
Your donation keeps screenings free and expands access across Greater Boston.
Your support bridges the gap so artists can continue receiving care at no cost.
Every 15-minute injury screening offers real, actionable care:
1:1 mobility + movement assessment
Strength and stability testing
Injury-risk + red-flag identification
Personalized exercise recommendations
Referral pathways for continued support
Education on safe training + performance practices
Artists leave with clarity, confidence, and concrete next steps.
Thanks to community support, AAHC screening events have already delivered:
artists screened across Boston
received personalized exercise plans
received follow-up care referrals
with local studios, community programs, and MGB
or pay-what-you-can services
These numbers reflect only the past year. The demand is growing.
Your contribution helps us reach even more artists in 2026.
Here’s what each contribution helps cover:
When you give, you help artists avoid preventable injuries, stay in their craft longer, and access care they otherwise may not receive.
Together, we can keep artists healthy, supported, and creating.
